MY WONDERFUL HUBBY - BRENT!!!

Brent had his 27th Birthday yesterday!

Brent asked for the lemon cake his mom used to make. I tried so hard to scourer the web for a recipe that sounded close. It turned out really good and I think he liked it. Brent told me that I couldn't put candles on his cake this year.. unless it was the number 9. I laughed so hard but ultimately decided that it would work because 2+7 =9. I bought Brent a really fun game for the PS3 called "Little Big Planet". I am so excited to learn how to play and play together.

Sunday night we had my cousins Ryan & Melanie Sorensen and their cute kids over for dinner and cake. We had so much fun watching them play on the wii fit. I totally wish I would have recorded Ryan and his son Taylor hoola-hooping. It was so funny. I really love getting together with them and growing our relationship. They will actually be moving to Page, Arizona soon. I am really excited for them but will miss them terribly!

On his birthday we celebrated with our friends Kim & Anna -who's Birthday was the day before, so we had a double party. We had really yummy food. Everyone really liked the cake I made! We played games and talked for the rest of the night. I am so glad to gain a good friendship with Kim and Anna. They are really awesome people!

My little sister turned 12 today! Holy Crap she is getting so old! Hope you had a great day sis! We love you so much and we are so glad to have you in our family! You are seriously the funniest little sister ever! You can always make me laugh no matter what my mood is. Can't wait to see you soon!

Our 4 Year Anniversary

Has it really been 4 years already?

Being married to my best friend has been wonderful! Sure we have our ups and downs... but it has truly been 4 wonderful years!

To celebrate we started out by spending the night before in a suite at the Marriott (thanks again to Ryan) here in Cedar City. We ate lasagna and had sparkling grape juice. Brent took me to the movie "Duplicity", and we had a wonderful time just cuddling and being with each other. We woke in the morning and headed down to St. George. We got there close to noon and since we didn't really wake up in time to eat breakfast, we were pretty hungry. The Olive Garden was so good, especially because we had a gift card thanks to a Christmas present from Brent's sister Cait. Afterward we headed out to Fiesta Fun for miniature golf. We drove the go-karts twice, and played multiple games of golf. I won once and I am pretty sure Brent won all the rest. It was so much fun! I loved being able to spend the whole day with Brent without worrying about anything!

Later that day we went to the mall to get Orange Julius's and to browse. We had a Primerica meeting that night so we postponed the fun till after. The meeting went longer than expected but we learned a lot. We really can't wait to be able to help people! After the meeting we headed home. Brent surprised me by stopping at Walmart to pick up a copy of Wii fit! We stayed up till 2 in the morning playing and exercising!

For our gifts Brent decided he wanted some motivational Cd's so that is what he got. Brent surprised me with the movie "Pretty in Pink", the Twilight soundtrack, and a Twilight poster!

All in all it was an awesome Anniversary! I look forward to many more! Below are some pictures of us just having a blast!

Happy Valentine's My Love

Happy Valentine's (a couple days late)!

This year for Valentine's we traveled up to Sanpete to be able to go to Darin's farewell. We had decided not to do anything for the holiday this year... but being my sneaky self, I surprised Brent with a card. He in turn felt the need to go by me a cute teddy bear at the Walmart in Ephraim. We had a beautiful drive and a wonderful talk. We stopped in Ephraim to eat at the best ever Chinese place - the Snow Dragon. We lived right across the street from it when we lived there. We would go at least every other week and we became good friends with the owner. It tasted so good and the owner enjoyed seeing us again. When we arrived in Fairview we were informed that Brent's Mom would be performing that night at the dance hall. They paid for us to get in so we could celebrate Valentine's and watch our mom. There was all you can eat chocolate, dancing, a great jazz band, singing and a lot more. It was so much fun and I got to see Brent's mom dressed up as an old lady. I think my favorite part of Valentine's was being able to dance with my wonderful hubby.

I love you so much Brent. I am so grateful to be married to you for time and eternity. You are truly my best friend and I am so lucky to have you! I know that you are not perfect and nor can I claim to be either, but please believe me, when I say that I want to be by your side, to hold your hand, to treasure you in the morning and in the noon-tide, to be next to you, to be held close to your heart now and forever, to comfort you, dry your tears and calm your most frightening fears, to fight your battles and show no shame to scream my love for you out loud to all the world . If you couldn't tell from the above quotes, Darin had his mission farewell on Sunday, the 15th of February. It was a very emotional day as we saw him for the last time for 2 years. Darin gave a very good and spiritual talk and he bore his testimony. It is so awesome to see how much he has grown in every aspect. We know he will be a very successful missionary and that he will be able to bless many people for good and we wish him the best of luck. It will definitely be very weird not to have him around now. He always made us laugh and feel at home. We will miss you! We were also able to spend time with family that we hadn't seen for quite some time. It was particularly nice to see grandparents and Tyler & Randell.

Our Wonderful Weekend

I love going to the temple. The Manti Temple is and will always be my favorite. It is so beautiful inside and the spirit is so strong. Brent & I were sealed for time and eternity in this temple 2 & 1/2 years ago. Brent received his endowment and both Brent and my parents were married in this temple also. And now we had the opportunity to go with Brent's younger brother Darin as he received his endowments.

This past weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to go up to Sanpete to support and share this amazing experience with Darin. It was so neat to see him so happy and all in white and to be with so many family and friends. Darin went on his first date when Brent & I started dating and now he is preparing to enter the MTC this month. Wow how time flies!

After the temple we met up with the rest of the family who weren't able to join us in the temple, for lunch. It was really yummy Mexican food! After lunch we all went up to Fairview to have our family Christmas time really quick and to get ready for our family pictures (which are already outdated - Cindy is due in April but Darin will be on his mission by then). I think they will turn out really cute.

After pictures were done I had Cindy cut my hair. It looks so cute! It is pretty short - about to my chin, and spiky. I will try to get a cute picture up sometime.

On Sunday we hung out with Brent's sister Karen and her fiance, Ryan. It was so good just to talk and get to know Ryan better. They seem so happy and so in love. I love talking with Karen. She is such an awesome person! Later that day we watched the Superbowl with Brent's family. It was a really good game. I loved watching the hilarious commercials. They had alot of good ones this year.

On our way home we stopped by my parents place in Manti to show off my haircut and to say "hi". We had stopped by there on our way to the temple but half of my family was out and my dad had been rubbing it in that he had got to see me and my mom hadn't. It was so funny. I love seeing my family, especially seeing how much my dads face lights up and that huge happy smile he gets when he sees me. I love you too dad ..... and all of my family (including in-laws). You all do so much for us. Thank you. It was such a great weekend!

Welcome 2009! A new year and a new beginning! Our New Year Resolutions are to be more patient towards each other and everyone, to more fully appreciate all that we are so truly blessed with, to pay off our debt and to become more healthy.

This year to celebrate the New Year we had my two siblings, Cameron and Paige, come. They came down with us after Christmas to spend the week. It was wonderful to have them here and to be able to spend more time with them. We rang in the new year by renting some video games and some movies and by eating alot of food. It was a blast staying up all night laughing and hanging out.
